We set off for an early morning game drive after a quick breakfast and soon spotted tons of animals. And as a special surprise we spotted also lions who we got to see from very close. When Nelson tried to start the engine to advance a bit he realised that there was no power. Something must have been wrong with the battery. Nelson opened the door, stepped out of the car and opened the bonnet to check on the battery even though there were three lions just a couple of meters away. One male didn’t even react but the other male didn’t appreciate him leaving the car and scrutinized Nelson angrily. Luckily there were some other cars there and one of the guides parked his car in front of Nelson’s to shield him. Had he not done that the lion would have would have charged Nelson for sure. After he had fixed a lose wire the power was back. Nelson told he was not afraid of lions as he knew how to chase them away in case. Then we continued our game drive spotting many more animals like elephants, birds, jackals, giraffes, warthogs, buffalos and many more. We then returned to the lodge for lunch and set off for a boat trip in the afternoon where we learned about the wild life around and in the Nile. Highlight of the boat trip was the Murchison Falls. On the way back to the lodge we spotted more lions on the horizon who seemed to be hunting. As we couldn’t get closer and had our close ups taken in the morning we only stopped for a short time and soon continued our travel to the lodge. After taking a shower the supper was served. Very nice. Bedtime…
