After a wonderful night and some good sleep we got up early in the morning to go on another game drive. The kitchen staff had already prepared a lunch box so we would not have to come back to the lodge for lunch. After breakfast we headed towards the park where we soon spotted an elephant, different kinds of eagles, Waterbucks, Uganda Kobb, Giraffes, Warthogs, Birds, Buffalos, Hartebeests, Hippos, Fishermen, different kinds of monkeys and again and again elephants and one of the highlights: a Hyena.
In the afternoon we went to see the top of Murchison Falls so Nelson drove us up there. It was really a very nice place which would be perfect for a picnic as it’s nicely cool there because of the mist that the falls produce. It’s not a super huge waterfall but it’s still impressive to see the masses of water that fall down that narrow gorge. We stayed there for quite a while as it was pretty peaceful. When we drove home Nelson spotted a chameleon and a lizard on the street. Back at the lodge I spotted another elephant just on the opposite of the river right in front of the Safari tent.
Shower – supper – Thank you, good night!
to begin with we spotted an elephant
some impressions from Top of Murchison Falls
on the way back home Nelson spotted these two guys
When I got back to my Safari tent at the lodge this guy enjoyed a cool bath on the other
side of the river. Seems like this was my elephant day…
